Recently, the costume drama "Daming Fenghua", which was broadcast simultaneously by Hunan Satellite TV and Youku, caught the audience’s attention with an unconventional attitude: the first show of Tang Wei TV series, the costume style was a bit "collapsed", and the disheveled women disguised as men were hot searched; Zhu Yawen disguised himself as a eunuch in the East Factory, and was ridiculed as the "factory spirit" of the first emperor grandson of the Ming Dynasty.
On the night of the broadcast, Zhu Yawen accepted an exclusive interview with the Beijing Youth Daily reporter after the meeting held by Youku, and took the lead in revealing the secret of this atypical Ming Dynasty drama, summarizing the character of this character and the emotional line with the heroine in one sentence: Zhu Zhanji, who has a color-changing physique, has been confirming whether Sun Ruowei loves him all his life.
Always waiting for the role of "changing face"
Beiqing Daily: What attracts you most about Daming Fenghua?
Zhu Yawen: Its plays are so good that I decided to come after reading only two episodes. What attracts me most about Zhu Zhanji is his discolored physique. Many male actors in costume dramas basically run through one or two states and personalities, but the charm of Zhu Zhanji is that he has a unique side for each different person. I’ve been waiting for a role that will allow me to survive in a drama by constantly changing my face. In the past, Zhao Xiaoliang in "Going to the North Don’t Believe in Tears" was a little bit, but compared with Zhu Zhanji, he was still a few faces short.
Beiqing Daily: What do you think of Zhu Zhanji’s appearance as "the factory spirit" by netizens?
Zhu Yawen: The initial setting of the role is that Zhu Zhanji is under the protection of Grandpa Zhu Di, and under the control of his second uncle, third uncle and the ruling and opposition parties, he has to show a cynical and frustrated state in order to find the information he wants in this environment. I also choose to use a frivolous voice and a relaxed performance state to complete the characterization of the early emperor’s grandson when performing and dubbing.
After three episodes, Zhu Zhanji and Sun Ruowei got closer and closer, and began to show their desire for real life. He and Sun Ruowei were changed in the same day, that is, the Battle of Jing Nan — — Sun Ruowei lost his parents and became an orphan of Jing Nan. Zhu Zhanji witnessed the Zhujiajian massacre and took to the ruling road. At the same time, they embarked on a life track that they did not choose. Restaurants test each other. When Sun Ruowei died to protect the group behind her, Zhu Zhanji began to take this woman seriously — — At that moment, he became curious about this woman and moved his true feelings.
The bright spot is that the characters take turns to go to the foreground.
Beiqing Daily: Daming Fenghua was adapted from Chronicle of Six Dynasties. At the beginning, except Sun Ruowei’s life experience was interpreted as an orphan in Jing Nan, the appearances of other historical figures were basically written according to historical real relationships and events. How does the whole drama deal with the relationship between history and drama?
Zhu Yawen: All the historical nodes of the script should have everything under the big historical background. Director Zhang Ting and the screenwriter team think that historical forms should be used to reflect the shadow of human nature, and through historical contradictions, the audience can see the story of blood and affection behind the Zhu family, not just the history in history, but the history that everyone sees in the history books.
Beiqing Daily: For palace dramas such as Gongdou, the audience has already seen through the routines. What do you think of Daming Fenghua as a rare background work in the Ming Dynasty in recent years? What are its innovations and highlights?
Zhu Yawen: When you listen to the Ming Dynasty, you will think it is a historical drama of the Ming Dynasty or a love idol drama packaged in the palace, but it is not. Zhang Ting made a bold attempt. Each of our characters stood guard in shifts and walked to the front desk one by one. Among them, the biggest event was the revenge of Jing Nan’s orphans, from which Zhu Di’s reflection on Jing Nan was seen. After Zhu Gaochi and Zhu Zhanji took the throne, everyone would have a new face, and their identity would change. The old problems would be revived with a new identity, which was very interesting in the drama structure. The fate of every character in this play is ups and downs, instead of slowly stretching to 60 episodes and finally giving you a cliff-like finale.
Beiqing Daily: Was there much research on relevant history in the early stage?
Zhu Yawen: When I play all historical figures, I almost stop at 30% of the history. I just need to know who the people around me are at the corresponding time node, and what are the primary relationships and contradictions between the characters. After all, we present history in the plays and reveal the characters in the historical gap. As an actor, you can’t enter a play as a historical consultant. We don’t tell the audience what history is like through the play, but let the role become the present continuous tense living in the script.
Perform royal fireworks
Beiqing Daily: The first show of Tang Wei’s TV series was described as not exquisite. What do you think of her creative state?
Zhu Yawen: Whether beauty is beautiful or not, everyone has his own opinions. For me, as long as our character relationship is established, as long as she appears in front of me, it is all good. I can’t speculate or compare the beauty of such a shape, just like our previous cooperative film. How can I know what Xiao Hong should look like? When she stood in front of me, she was Xiao Hong.
Beiqing Daily: What is the emotional line between Zhu Zhanji and Sun Ruowei in the whole drama?
Zhu Yawen: I’m a bitter emperor, and I’ve been speculating all my life whether Sun Ruowei loves me or not. Sun Rewei made a hole in Zhu Zhanji’s sealed living environment, which made him breathe a sigh of relief. Being with this woman allowed him to temporarily forget those people behind him. Zhu Zhanji has always wanted to be recognized by his grandfather, father and Sun Ruowei. Asking for approval is the weakness of this character.
Beiqing Daily: The biggest novelty of this drama is the performance of the ordinary fireworks of the royal family. Zhu Zhanji called grandpa and uncle, and joked with the mighty Zhu Di and Hanwang. He felt that it was the daily life of ordinary families in hutong to take off that fancy dress. Do you believe that the royal family can really live without rank and guard?
Zhu Yawen: The audience felt that the director did it. When we were reading the script around, the director told us that it was not the emperor of the Ming Dynasty, but the first family of the Ming Dynasty. I want to show the audience the intersection and entanglement of these key figures in family relations behind historical events. I won’t doubt it, because this is the style of the play, and it is to be expressed in this way. If I doubt, I am a failure in this relationship.
