I made an appointment with three friends, made a good travel strategy in advance, and we followed the guide into the canyon early in the morning. The entrance of the scenic spot is also the entrance of the canyon. The entrance of the scenic spot is tall and simple, with three characters of "Baquan Gorge" capitalized on the doorplate, which looks like a capital "eight". It stands among the mountains and warmly welcomes tourists here with open arms. The surrounding mountains are towering into the sky, and the mountain breeze is blowing slowly. The origin of the name "Baquan Gorge" is because there are eight springs in the Qiaohou ravine of Taihang Mountain Grand Canyon, which has been called "Eight Rivers" by the people since ancient times. In addition, there are two springs in the middle of the canyon with eight springs, and the number of three springs is eight, so the scenic spot here is named "Baquan Gorge".
After entering the door, it is a lake formed by running water on the mountain, and the water surface is calm. At the end of the lake, take an electric sightseeing bus and drive up the Panshan Highway. After passing through the dreamy Baquan Shaanxi Tunnel with a length of 760m, we arrive at Gaoshan Pinghu Lake surrounded by mountains. The water surface is green and quiet, and a river is sandwiched between cliffs. It is said that the water depth is more than 60m, with a total length of 2km. Take a cruise on the canyon river and look up at the cliffs and straight walls on both sides, with strange peaks and rocks. The ship shuttled through the precipice, only a line of sky was seen overhead, and the front was curved and continuous, like a magnificent picture scroll slowly opened.
In the scenic spot, the spring water gurgles all the year round, fountains and waterfalls fall straight to the bottom of the valley, and enter Baquan Gorge. The magnificent broken valley cliffs with a cutting depth of nearly 1,000 meters, countless natural fountains and waterfalls like silver, form a unique landscape charm of steep cliff Lishui, and the rocks are lifelike, which constitutes a natural wonder of "seeing from the ground, swimming in the water, watching from the sky and walking in the clouds".
After the ship arrived at the dock, we walked among the rocks along the wooden plank road. The plank road built on the cliffs caused the least damage to the natural landscape and allowed people to have a panoramic view of the beauty up and down. On one side is a straight cliff, and on the other side is the river running at the bottom of the valley. Looking up along the precipice, the stone wet by the rain is no longer dusty, but presents colorful colors. Looking up again, among the gradually closed peaks, leaves and branches are printed in the sky. This cliff is also covered with plants, trees, shrubs, weeds and mosses are squeezed out in the crevices, and the leaves are shiny and shiny after being washed by the rain, so we can’t help but sigh the power of life. People are sandwiched between cliffs, with a blue sky above their heads, green trees and strange stones in front of them, and mountains as far as the eye can see. Water is gurgling from their feet, as if they were in a paradise.
We went upstream to the ropeway station, made a ropeway to enjoy the beautiful scenery, and the mountains stacked on top of each other looked like pots from a distance, which is also the origin of Huguan County’s name.
Coming out of the ropeway, I went down the road and came to a very spectacular natural wonder: Beitianmen. It is a natural hollowing out of the mountain, with a height of 22 meters and a span of 25 meters, which is transparent from north to south, forming a huge arched doorway. Amazing and amazing nature "uncanny workmanship".
After a short rest, we will proceed from Beitianmen, which is the most difficult journey in the whole trip of Baquan Gorge. It’s a veritable ladder. The stone steps are steep and almost vertical, clinging to the precipice. After going straight up and down, you will reach the viewing platform of the "City of the Sky". It is a vertical panoramic transparent viewing ladder directly embedded in the cliff. The top floor is a glass viewing platform with a vertical height of 208 meters, and the whole operation takes only one minute. It is divided into three layers, which challenges people’s courage the most. On the bottom layer, you can see the cliffs and canyons at the foot, and the cliff next to it seems to be within reach. The third floor is a sightseeing platform, which stretches out eight meters, overlooking the towering peaks around and feeling relaxed and happy when climbing high and looking far.
After enjoying the scenery, take the sightseeing elevator down, the scenery changes from far to near, with the decrease of height. In less than one minute, we have reached the foot of the mountain, and the journey is close to the end. The colorful scenery, air, rocks, mountains, green leaves and springs are deeply imprinted in our minds.
